SNES Classic Launch Date Confirmed!
The launch date of SNES Classic was finally disclosed by Nintendo which is gonna be on September 29. The SNES will come with two wired classic controllers with 21 classic games which include the never-before-released Starfox 2. The console will have a price tag of $79.99 SRP.
This is going to be the second miniaturized classic console from Nintendo. Last year, the slightly controversial NES Classic Edition launched on November 10, with 30 classic games priced at $59.99. Controversial in a sense that the console was always out of stock which gave scalpers the opportunity to list the console at ridiculously high prices, one of the highest documented listing was on Ebay for $4,999. The production of the Classic NES was unfortunately discontinued last April after selling more than 2 million units worldwide.
We just hope that the gaming community will not have the same dilemma with the Classic NES. Hopefully, Nintendo already learned from its mistake and will make sure that the console will be available for everyone to purchase and enjoy in its original or MSRP.
