The soon to be a hard-to-find hot item of the year which is the Nintendo Classic Mini: SNES
comes in two versions and three different packaging. The Two versions consist of the Japanese and the western or the rest of the world version, the reason for this is because each version features 5 different games unique from each other which can be seen in the list below.
Japanese SNES exclusively includes:
- Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem
- The Legend of Mystical Ninja
- Panel de Pon
- Super Soccer
- Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers
Games exclusive to the European and North American editions:
- Kirby's Dream Course
- Street Fighter 2' Turbo: Hyper Fighting
- Super Castlevania 4
- Super Punch-Out!!
It was also noted by Eurogamer that Japan will be getting Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, while the other version will get the Street Fighter 2' Turbo: Hyper Fighting.
The packaging of the console is presented in three variants, Eurogamer has created a hierarchy based on the packaging making the Japanese version Pretty, the UK version lovely and the US version Ugly. But despite this, it seems that Nintendo will not be making enough consoles for everyone again, this is due to the fact that placing a pre-order for the console is becoming almost impossible to accomplish as one-by-one the retailers are like Amazon declaring the console unavailable as early as 19 hours after they started accepting pre-orders.
Several listings on Ebay are already priced at almost 200 pounds. So it seems that history will repeat after all. Stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
