A recent tweet coming from SNK Global
announcing a new "Classic NeoGeo Project" sparked interest among the fighting game community. There might be a couple of hints included in the tweet which could possibly lead to what the project is.
Let's start with the long lost sequel to the classic 1999 fighting game Garou: Mark of the Wolves developed for the NeoGeo system and was also known as Fatal Fury 4: Mark of the Wolves on Dreamcast. The sequel to this game has been rumored and talked about-about since 2006 wherein the dev team was said to have been in the process of which resolution the game will be presented in.
Fast forward to 2008 wherein SNK confirmed that the Fatal Fury story will have closure and that they are working on a new technology that will probably power the game. And then last year in an interview conducted by 4 Gamer with SNK's development team an image of the game's roster (see image above).
So what do you think? will the epic tale of the Fatal Fury series be finally concluded? Stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
