Pokemon Go Fest Technical Issues Has Niantic Issuing Refunds
The recent Pokemon Go event in Chicago called Pokemon Go Fest has not been successful as the game itself. This is due to the technical difficulties experienced by "a large number of players" who participated.
It was reported that most players were unable to play the game. Pokemon Go Fest was supposed to highlight the much anticipated legendary Pokemon and a newly updated Gym Battle system. Niantic admitted that they were unable to resolve all issues and was not able to provide a great experience to those who were present at the event.
“We will strive to make sure our experiences are of the highest quality going forward.”- Niantic
To compensate for the experience Niantic states that all players who are registered attendees will soon be receiving an Email which will contain specific instructions on how to get a full refund for their ticket cost. They will also receive $100 in PokeCoins in their Pokemon Go account as per VentureBeat.
