Nintendo Titles Dominates Top 10 Of 100 In Japan
Famitsu has recently unveiled the top 100 best-selling games in Japan for the first half of 2017 and Nintendo dominates most of the top 10 spot. The list of Japan's video game sale from December 12, 2016, up to July 25, 2017, was recently posted on NeoGaf with 8 titles from the top 10 shared by Nintendo Switch and 3DS leaving two spots for the PS4. 
Monster Hunter XX Japan's Best-Selling Game For 2017 First Half
Monster Hunter XX for the 3DS holds the number 1 spot with a whopping 1,640,005 units sold since it was launched last March 18 of this year, coming on number 2 is Pokemon Sun and Moon with 527,862 units from the given date range and a total of 3,774,084 since it was launched last November 18, 2016. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch took the third spot with 501,614 units sold since April 28, 2017, followed by The Legend of Zelda: BOTW  for the Switch with 460,480 units sold since March 3, 2017. Coming on number 5 is Super Mario Maker also for the 3DS with 397,656 units sold with a total 1,141,044 since December 1, 2016. 
Nier: Automata and Resident Evil 5
The number 6 spot is held by Resident Evil 7 for the PS4 with 324,066 units sold since January 26, 2017, followed by another PS4 title Nier: Automata with 311,906 units sold since February 2, 2017. 
On number 8 is the board game based  Momotaro Dentetsu 2017: Tachiagare Nippon!! for the 3DS with 263,790 units sold and 395,853 since it was launched on December 22, 2016, followed by another 3DS title Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sukiyaki with 215, 297 with a total of 724,964 since December 15, 2016 on number 9. 1-2 Switch grabbed the number 10 spot with 200,807 units sold since March 3, 2017. 
Nintendo's fun and simple games still remain to have some of the strongest fan bases not only in Japan but in the entire planet.
