Sonic Mania Gets Delayed For Two Weeks
The launch of the PC version of Sonic Mania will be delayed for another two weeks which means that the scheduled August 15, 2017, launch will be moved to August 29. The console versions of the game, however, will have no schedule changes. The said delay is due to some much-needed optimization as announced during the recent Livestream thru the game's official YouTube channel.
The Team has also announced that they will be giving out free copies of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game thru steam for those who pre-order Sonic Mania or by purchasing the Collector's Edition which will still ship by August 15. Those who purchased the Collector's Edition which will come with two codes (one for Sonic Mania, one for the Original Sonic The Hedgehog) can activate the original Sonic The Hedgehog code but they have to wait up to August 29 for the activation of Sonic Mania. The Sonic Team has also signed 26 Collector's Edition boxes for Sonic Mania which will be randomly distributed throughout North America.
