Activision and Sledgehammer Games finally confirmed Call of Duty: WWII,
this long awaited true sequel to the original Call of Duty series has been requested by a lot of fans for a long time. The World War II saga of the franchise came to a halt after the release of the third installment way back in 2006, which gave way to the Modern Warfare series.
Call of Duty: World at War was launched in 2008, this was also set in World War II and was the very first installment of the Black Ops series. Over time, the Call of Duty franchise has lifted off from the ground and went so far out into space that it lost touch with what the game was really about. The pure adrenaline-pumping open ground combat with bullets flying everywhere, that beautiful sound the M1 Garand makes after spitting out its final bullet ready for the next reload. Those are just some of the little things that no modern weapon or combat could ever replicate, the little things that provided gamers with some of the best FPS combat in its time. Call of Duty: WWII hit the stores on November 3, 2016. A Private Beta will also be available for those who pre-ordered the game.
