An HD version of Okami is said to have been rated by Korean Ratings Board for the PS4/Xbox One and PC according to an article by Destructoid. The article also states that this information coincides with the information shared by Kotaku last month which referred to the game being added to the upcoming game release of two European retail chains. The listing is said to have a December 12, 2017, launch date. This information, however, is not yet confirmed by Capcom which makes this a very reliable rumor for now.
For those who are not familiar with the game, Okami is a critically acclaimed award-winning action adventure game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. The game currently has a 93/100 Metascore from 69 critics and a 9.4 average user score from 356 users. Despite the game's accolades, its sales were not as successful as expected which was acknowledged by the Guinness World Records as the "least commercially successful winner of a game of the year award" on their 2010 Gamer's Edition.
Bringing Okami to the current gen is great news for those who experienced its unique gameplay. It would be better if the game will feature more enhancements and added features. The game already looked amazing in the PlayStation 2 and if the developers can make PS4 and Xbox One version even better, then perhaps, the game will finally achieve the commercial success it deserves. Check out the Trailer of the PSN version below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
