Three of the most promising games from different genres will be launching today, one for fighting games (Injustice 2), one for the PSVR (Farpoint), and one for the ARPG core players (The Surge).
Today is going to be the longest day for some gamers, especially those who pre-ordered their game months ahead. Today is the day when everything slows down, when seconds feels like minutes, a minute feels like 10 minutes, and an hour feels like forever. So while waiting for the UPS truck, or the video game store to open, let's take a quick look at those three games.
First up, we have Injustice 2
which is one of the year's most anticipated fighting game. Announced in 2016, this sequel to Netherealm's epic clash between DC superheroes and supervillains "God's Among Us" features a brand new and innovative approach towards the fighting game genre by introducing an innovative RPG system called "Gear" to the game's core architecture. The characters were also designed thoroughly, this includes the animation of each Super Moves which like the game's stages were highly detailed.
The second game on our list is the PSVR exclusive Farpoint
which is bundled with the PSVR Aim Controller. This is the first FPS game that features a full-length campaign that's specially designed for Sony's VR device. The game follows a group of astronauts who crashed into an alien planet after an experiment/exploration went terribly wrong. Now the protagonist must keep moving in search for his fellow explorers in order to escape the hostile planet.
And the third game is The Surge
, this ARPG was developed by Deck 13 (Lords of the Fallen). The game follows some of the principles used in some of the industry's Hardcore Games like the Souls series and Nioh. The game is set in a dystopian future where natural resources are scarce and people would do almost anything just to survive.
