An update related to the current status of EVO 2017's registration per game was recently posted on SRK. Street Fighter V
made the record books last year with a total of 5000 entrants, and the update shows that the latest installment of Capcom's 30-year-old franchise still has the most number of entrants.
"for the most part the results are what one would expect: generally consistent with 2016’s closing numbers, and reflective of each game’s overall popularity," as per SRK.
Super Smash Bros for Wii-U
and Super Smash Bros Melee
took the second and third spot of the hierarchy list, while the latest games which are scheduled for launch this year took the next three spots (Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2
on fourth place, Tekken 7
on fifth, and Injustice 2
on sixth). The seventh spot was occupied by BlazBlue: Central Fiction
followed by the Generosity fundraiser drive winner UMVC 3
on the eighth spot.
The King of Fighters XIV
was at the bottom of the leaderboard with the least number of entrants. Registration for EVO 2017 is up until June 30, 2017, 11:59 PM PDT which can be accessed through this LINK
