What Critics Think About HZD The Frozen Wilds
The long-awaited expansion to the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn called The Frozen Wilds is finally going live in less than 48 hours and in relation to that, let's take a quick look at what some of the gaming industry's top critics think of the upcoming DLC.

"An excellent addition to an amazing game. Developer Guerrilla has doubled down on the thrill of the hunt with more challenging machines and testing side quests that are added to the original map through an intriguing new storyline that delves into the mystical side of this post-apocalyptic world."- IGN Review Score 8.8/10

Built using Guerilla's Decima engine, The Frozen Wilds is set in a beautiful but deadly winter wonderland. The DLC features more than 15 hours gameplay complete with new weapons, machines, characters and much more. The current average Metascore of the DLC is 82/100 which is made up of positive feedbacks from 20 out of 21 critics who reviewed the game.

"Horizon Zero Dawn remains one of the best games of 2017 and The Frozen Wilds complements it with a decent chunk of new content. While not a necessary addition to the main narrative, the expansion adds a personal story that’s well-worth exploring." Hardcore Gamer Review Score 4/5

The Frozen Wilds DLC is currently priced at $19.99 and $14.99 for PS Plus subscribers which is a great deal considering what the player will be getting. The upcoming DLC can be considered as the "icing on the cake" of the original game, it may not match the spectacle created by Horizon Zero Dawn but its a great addition to the already epic story and gameplay of Guerilla's masterpiece.
