FFXV And DQXI Gets Platinum, Minecraft Gets Double At The PlayStation Awards

The annual event by Sony Entertainment Japan that acknowledges and honors the best-selling video game titles for the PlayStation which was held yesterday in Tokyo, was a great success. One of the most prestigious recognition in the event comes in the form of the Platinum Award which is given to those titles who were able to sell more than a million units. This year, aside from the three recipients of the Platinum Award (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Final Fantasy XV, and GTA V), a Double Platinum Award was awarded to Minecraft for selling more than 2 million copies in Japan and the rest of Asia.

Other awardees include Battlefield 1, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, FIFA 2017, FIFA 2018, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, Nioh, Rainbow Six: Siege, Resident Evil 7, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life for the Gold Award. Far Point, Resident Evil 7 and Summer Lesson: Allison Snow for the VR Award and FIFA 2017, Phantasy Star Online 2, with Rainbow Six: Siege for the PlayStation Network Award.
