PlayStation Takes A Big Chunk Out Of UK

The latest physical game sales were recently revealed by UKIE through GamesIndustry.Biz and it shows a big win for the PlayStation 4 console. PlayStation 4 titles took 50.2%  of UK's physical software sales in 2017, trailing behind is the Xbox One which with 31.6%. This record broke the original PlayStation's 47.9% physical game sales in 1998 as per G.I.Biz.

"2017 is the first year on record when a single platform has accounted for more than half of the total games market in terms of units." UKIE through G.I.Biz

Come to think of it, PlayStation exclusives have been dominating UK's sales chart throughout the year, titles like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Persona 5, Wipeout: Omega Collection, Gran Turismo Sport, Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fantasy XII, and Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.
