Nintendo Dominates Japanese Market For 2017

The top 100 Japanese video game titles for 2017 has just been revealed and Nintendo has dominated most of the top 10 spot on the list. It looks like the Japanese market is going for portability which explains why Nintendo has dominated 9 out of the 10 spot of the best selling games for 2017. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon is on top of the list with more than 2 million units sold followed by Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch with more than 1.7 million units and Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age for the 3DS on the third spot with 1,744, 603 units sold.

Japanese top 10 Video Game Titles For 2017

The top 10 contains only one title for the PS4 which is Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age on number 5 and the rest are all Nintendo Switch and 3DS titles like Super Mario Odyssey on number 6, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on number 7, The Legend of Zelda BOTW on number 8, Pokemon Sun/Moon on number 9 and Super Mario Maker on number 10.
