Sony is said to have been conducting a survey pertaining to changing the player's PlayStation Network username. This information was recently shared by media organization Push Square who first got hold of the information. It was also noted that the survey questionnaire may contain the specifics of the name change mechanics such as; Players will be able to change their username multiple times for free once every six months and reverting to a previous username will involve contacting customer support.
Sony is currently having a beta test for the PlayStation 4's next big update. The upcoming update will include a lot of new features and some improvements to the current one. Having the name change feature is definitely a big plus to all PS4 owners, who will stick to one account rather than create a new one just because they made a bad decision in choosing their PSN name.
