What Critics Think Of The Bayonetta Bundle For The Switch

The Bayonetta series has been hands down one of the best games produced by Platinum Games, in fact, the series seems to stand out from its critically acclaimed action hack and slash library titles. Nintendo on the other hand, has been in collaboration with the Studio since the first installment as its publisher and eventually getting exclusivity for its sequel for the Wii U and now for the Switch in a 2 in 1 bundle. Bayonetta 1 and 2 has been positively received by critics and gamers alike and with the Switch version coming out in less than 24 hours, let's take a quick look at what some of the industry's most respected critics have to say about the bundle.

"Bayonetta 1 & 2 rank as two of the best action games of all time, and now you can play them on the go. What’s not to love?" - Wccftech 10/10

According to the recent reviews, Both Bayonetta 1 and 2 runs smoothly on Nintendo Switch in docked or handheld mode. Bayonetta 1 is said to have a performance similar to the Wii U version with some scenes loading 10 seconds faster while Bayonetta 2 features increased frame rate than the Wii U version.

"Being able to play two of Platinum Games’ finest efforts whenever you like is hugely appealing, and the abundance of content on offer here only makes it even better" Trusted Reviews 4.5/5

The Nintendo Switch version of the game includes an exclusive feature called Tag Climax Mode where a player can choose from a range of characters to battle hordes of enemies in both local and online multiplayer modes. All in all, Bayonetta is already a critically acclaimed series and porting 2 games of the series to the Switch with added improvements is a must have for Switch owners.
