The final stop before the highly anticipated Capcom Cup has been confirmed to take place in Seattle. The event will serve as the final event for the North American side of the globe, for competitors of that region. Similar events will run for other regions as well.
This event will be run at the Red Bull Battle Grounds in Seattle, from Nov 4th-6th. The event is said to feature a 1024-participant bracket. 12 of the highest ranked players in NA (based on CPT points), along with 2 online qualifiers from the same region and the 2 players to survive the open bracket will then compete for the title of the NA champion of Street Fighter V.
Furthermore, Red Bull Proving Grounds also seem to have more planned for the future in terms of competitive fighting games.
To elaborate, they’re going to establish partnerships with some of the biggest fighting game tournament organizers in the country such as Final Round, Northwest Majors, and Level Up.
After all the events have ended, each of the various cities will get to send their best players on an all-expenses paid trip to the Red Bull eSports Studio in Santa Monica. The players will then compete for the title of Red Bull Proving Grounds Champion and will also earn a spot at the CPT NA Finals!
It’s definitely exciting times ahead, as the scope of events for the FGC is getting bigger and bigger.
