Crytek showcased one of their latest projects during this year's E3 and it's getting a lot of attention from the gaming community. The Hunt: Showdown is a survival horror first announced in 2014 under the name The Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, a project that went quiet but re-emerged in this year's E3 as one of what could be the most visually stunning survival multiplayer PvP horror game of the year.
The Hunt will introduce the player to a secret hunting society that tracks and kills monsters for high-bounty which follows the "risk vs rewards" principle. Not only that, this game utilizes the permadeath method wherein the player will lose everything once his character dies. The game's combat is composed of 5 teams, 2 players for each team, every decision a player makes has a consequence, for example, firing his weapon will give away his position and will greatly compromise the hunting party.
The Hunt: Showdown's platforms were not revealed during the demo but there's a possibility that the game will launch on all platforms or become an exclusive, either way, this is one survival horror game that's worth watching out for.
