A panel discussion for Final Fantasy XV has revealed multiple details pertaining to the future updates and DLC of the game during PAX East 2018. The main topic of the panel was the Windows Edition which will be getting a lot of new features like Avatar Creation where players can create their own character in place of Noctis in the main game. Another feature is called user treasure wherein players are given a certain treasure to hide for other players to find, the longer the treasure is discovered, the better. Mods are also coming to Windows Edition this Spring, A Level Editor This Fall, both of which supports Steam Workshop.
Also discussed during the panel are the game's future DLC episodes which are said to bring an "Alternate Grand Finale" that will serve as an option for those who want to "challenge fate" or see a possible different outcome.
Episode I: Ardyn - "The Conflict of the Sage"
This episode is focused entirely on Ardyn's story. This episode also enables players to play as a villainous protagonist for the first time.
Episode Side Story: Aranea " The Beginning of the End"
Side story which shows the Starscourge based on Niflheim's perspective. This episode like the previous one will enable players to play as the antagonist.
Episode II: Lunafreya "The Choice Of Freedom"
This episode will focus on Lunafreya's fate as she continues to battle in order to save her loved ones.
Episode III: Noctis "The Final Strike"
Not much information was disclosed about this episode but it was hinted during the presentation that this will be a "very fitting End to the journey."
Final Fantasy XV Comrades will also be getting a major update complete with new boss battles like Battle Challenge where players can challenge multiple bosses at once. The multiplayer will also be launched as a standalone game this summer. And finally, a collaboration between the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider was also revealed.
