A miniature version of Sega's Mega Drive console was recently revealed at the recent SegaFes 2018 in Japan. The Mega Drive is a 16-bit console also known as Genesis in North America, it is the third console manufactured by Sega which was launched in 1988. The console was perhaps one of the company's greatest creation and was tagged as one of the video game consoles during its time.
The Mega Drive also gave birth to Sonic the Hedgehog who was not only one of the gaming industry's most beloved mascot but was also one of the best-selling video game titles all time. The Mega Drive Mini (tentative name), is expected to launch in the Japanese market this year, information pertaining to the games and global launch were not disclosed during the announcement.
