Despite the disaster of the first installment, the sequel to Mad Dog Game's NBA Playgrounds has finally been revealed in the form of NBA Playgrounds 2 and it brings with it a host of new additions, improvements, together with a new Season mode and a Playgrounds Championship ranked mode. Not only that, the upcoming follow-up will feature a roster made up of more than 200 current and retired NBA players complete with new animations and player models. The game has been announced for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One through a debut trailer, the Switch and PC version of the game still remains undisclosed as of the time of writing.
The first installment was poorly received by both critics and players alike, highlighting the game's lack of content, gameplay issues, loading times, poor online play, etc. The trailer of the upcoming sequel looks great so far, it's a big possibility that Mad Dog Games has learned from its previous mistakes and has finally come up with a worthy successor to the iconic NBA Jam. NBA Playgrounds 2 is scheduled to launch this summer, check out the debut trailer for more information and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
