King Tasked To Create A Mobile Version Of Call Of Duty

Mobile app developer King (Candy Crush Saga, Pet Rescue, Bubble Witch) is currently looking for a level designer who will become part of the development team for a mobile version of Call of Duty. Acquired by Activision Blizzard in 2016. King has over 200 titles under its brand with more than 285 million monthly active users, will now take on one of the biggest titles of its parent company.

"The aim is to create a Call of Duty experience on mobile, while also breaking new ground for mobile and redefining the genre." - Exerpts from King's Job listing

Creating a First Person Shooter is going to be a huge transition for King who has been known for creating some of the most engaging tile-matching puzzle games on mobile. This could probably become of the biggest challenge for the company, in fact, Game Informer who first got hold of the information thinks that this venture could lead to the development of more good mobile games or the exact opposite, which makes a lot of sense.
