A cloud version of Capcom's critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 is scheduled to go live this week May 24, for the Nintendo Switch in Japan. The Cloud Version includes the full game and all its DLC. Nintendo might still be testing the service which could probably the reason behind the region exclusivity.
The Cloud Version is played using a cloud service and is accessible by purchasing 180-day play ticket at the Nintendo eShop for 2000 yen (roughly about 18 dollars based on the current currency conversion). The application required to access the service only requires 45 MB of storage space, players who have a stable internet connection can play a trial version of the game for 15 minutes by starting the application. Nintendo has yet to divulge any information for the western release of the service. Check out the trailer below for more information and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
