Quantic Dream's interactive neo-noir action-adventure game Detroit: Become Human will be making its debut tomorrow exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The game has been in development for a while and is considered to be the most ambitious project of the Paris-based studio. In relation to that, let's take a quick look at what some of the gaming industry's critics have to say about the game.
"Immerse yourself in Detroit’s wonderfully realised world, engage with its characters and stories, and you’ll love this game." - GamesRadar+ 4.5/5
Detroit: Become Human is getting a lot of positive response from its first wave of reviews. It currently has an average Metascore of 80/100 made up of 41 positive, 12 mixed and 1 negative response from 43 critics. The game is getting accolades for its strong storytelling, however, it's also being called out for its flowchart that displays all the possible outcome of a specific scenario.
"Detroit is well worth playing, but it struggles to strike the right balance between giving you freedom of choice and reminding you that it's all a game in the end. These unavoidable flowcharts, like the blatant and cheap appropriation of American history, drag down Detroit's otherwise gripping tale." - Gamespot 7/10
All in all Detroit: Become Human can be considered as one of the best looking game in the interactive video games genre. It features some of the most polished graphics and a great plot worthy of accolades, however, just like every other game, it has its own faults. Check out the launch trailer of the game below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
