New gameplay footage for Bioware's Anthem and Dice's Battlefield V, both of which are considered as two of EA's biggest and most anticipated titles. The footage was revealed during the recently concluded EA Play presentation and both games are getting good feedback from the community. With that out of the way, let's take a quick overview on some of the new details revealed during the event.
First off the bat, it is now confirmed that Bioware's Anthem won't feature any loot boxes and pay-to-win mechanics, however, vanity and cosmetics items will be available for purchase. The upcoming game will feature a "shared world" where players can play together with other players focused on their own mission/story and have the same worldly experience, hence the description "Our World, My Story." The game will also feature four types of Javelin Exosuits (Ranger, Colossus, Storm, Interceptor) each of which outfitted their own unique abilities similar to that of Warframes.
The first multiplayer gameplay footage of DICE's Battlefield V was also showcased during the event and from the looks of it, the new footage has in one way or another got the previously enraged community back on track. Compared to the reveal trailer which managed to accumulate an overwhelming number of thumbs down, the new multiplayer footage now has more thumbs up than thumbs down.
And as an added bonus, the title of the rumored Star Wars game was finally revealed as Jedi Fallen Order. The upcoming game which is scheduled to launch in 2019, revolves around the exploits of a Padawan who survived the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Check out the recorded version of the event below for more information and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
