To celebrate the upcoming golden anniversary of the Weekly Shonen Jump, Bandai Namco in collaboration with Spike Chunsoft has recently unveiled a new fighting game called Jump Force. The game will feature some of the most iconic and the most powerful Manga heroes serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump. Five of these characters made up of Goku from Dragon Ball, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto and the duo of Ryuk and Light Yagami from Death Note were already featured in the game's announcement trailer, and as this is a tribute to the Shōnen manga's 50th year in the entertainment industry, there is no doubt that this is going to be big.
This project, however, is not a first, as Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft in 2015 released a game called J-Stars Victory Vs, which is also a fighting game that features characters from the Weekly Shonen Jump. But unlike J-Stars, the characters in the Jump Force were developed using the latest technology to give them that never-before-seen realistic look. Jump Force is scheduled to launch sometime next year. A golden version of the Famicom mini complete with its very own manga-inspired games scheduled to launch on July 7 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out some of the images and the announcement trailer below for more information and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
