Cyberpunk 2077 Is Not An FPS Says CD Projekt Red

Adapted from Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop game, Cyberpunk 2077 is an intricate open world game set in a fictional dystopian place in California called Night City in the year 2077. Some of its features include character creation, a fluid class system, interactive dialogue control and much more. The game is presented in a First Person Perspective (FPP), though this may be the case, developers of the game made it clear that the game is not a First Person Shooter (FPS) or a shooter with RPG mechanics, Cyberpunk 2077 according to CD Projekt Red is a Role Playing Game (RPG) presented in a First Person Perspective for narrative reasons, think Skyrim without the third person option (except for cutscenes and vehicles) and set in the future.

"Cyberpunk is not an FPS. It's not a shooter with RPG mechanics either. Cyberpunk is a role-playing game with attributes, skills, perks, items, and choices with consequences. First person perspective is a tool we decided to use for narrative reasons."

Other details revealed for Cyberpunk 2077 is the absence of loading screens, photo mode, and is aimed for the current generation of consoles (PS4, Xbox One, PC). A press screening of the game's demo was presented in this year's E3 which was unanimously praised by the audience. The first official trailer of the game was finally unveiled to the public and the response was overwhelming.
