PUBG Withdraws Lawsuit Against Fortnite Developer Epic Games

In a recent turn of events, Playerunknown Battlegrounds Co Ltd dropped its lawsuit against Fortnite developer Epic Games. A letter of withdrawal addressed to the attorneys of Epic Games sent by PUBG Corp. was delivered last Monday officially ending the copyright infringement lawsuit filed earlier this year. Bloomberg who first got hold of the information states that both companies neither confirm nor deny if a settlement has been reached.

The lawsuit has been criticized by some members of the gaming community as inappropriate given that PUBG runs on Unreal Engine 4 developed by Epic Games. Dropping the lawsuit is a wise decision by PUBG, with that out of the way, maybe the can focus more on improving the game, fixing its monetization scheme, and listening to its community to avoid losing more players.
