Amazon and Microsoft Store recently updated their listing for the highly acclaimed Shenmue I and II. The $29.99 bundle will feature an all-new updated interface, fully scalable screen resolutions options, a choice between classic and modern controls and Japanese audio. Microsoft Store also updated the game's launch date to August 21, 2018.
Originally developed for Sega's Dreamcast console, Shenmue has been credited to have pioneered some of the most iconic innovations observed in some of the biggest titles of today. Yu Suzuki managed to cram features like quick time events, real-time and weather system, day and night cycle into one epic masterpiece making it one of the most expensive games ever developed during that time.
Shenmue may not be the most successful titles in the history of video games but its definitely one of the most important. Sega's huge investment was money well spent given on how the game influenced and helped define the gaming industry. The re-release of Shenmue I and II is highly recommended for both new and veteran players alike while waiting for Shenmue III.
