Why Warframe For The Nintendo Switch Is In Good Hands?

Digital Extremes at Tennocon 2018 recently announced that a Nintendo Switch port of their highly acclaimed game Warframe is currently in development. To accomplish this task, the company has collaborated with Panic Button who based on their track record (Wolfenstein II, Doom) is a miracle worker when it comes to porting AAA titles to the Switch console. A short clip of what could be an early version of the game can be seen in the announcement trailer.

Warframe For The Nintendo Switch

Warframe for those who are stranger to the title is a fast-paced free to play online multiplayer game developed by Digital Extremes. Players assume the role of a Tenno who through a process called transference is able to control various biomechanical suits called Warframes. The game features a wide variety weapon, skills, and abilities that players can exploit base on their gameplay.

Just like most free to play games, Warframe has an in-game currency called Platinum that can only be purchased with real-world currency through microtransactions. Though this may be the case, Warframe is not a cash-hungry monster set out to devour your hard earned cash. Digital Extremes, believe it or not, has managed to maintain the game's free to play principles by allowing a free-trade system within the community. The game's trade system give players the opportunity to acquire Platinums (used for purchasing extra weapon and Warframe slots and other items) to play the entire experience without spending a single dime, they, however, may have to grind their way in obtaining some of the rare premium items for trading.

Warframe is part of Steam's Platinum list of games (highest tier) and is currently ranked as the 4th most played game in the same platform. Warframe is hands-down one of the most aesthetically appealing and action-packed FTP for the current gen which is backed by some of the strongest if not the most accomodating communities in the industry. Check out the trailer for the upcoming switch version below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
