New details pertaining to the next DLC for the highly acclaimed Far Cry 5 were revealed recently by Ubisoft. The expansion called Lost on Mars features "family-man-turned-fighter-pilot" Nick Ry together with legendary gun-for-hire Hurk Drubman Jr. an all-new open world adventure set within the vast wastelands of the red planet.
In line with Far Cry's over-the-top narratives, Nick and Hurk's adventure begins when both characters were teleported all the way to Mars. Waiting for them is on the hostile planet is an AI called ANNE who happens to be humanity's last line of defense and is in desperate need of power restoration and an army of arachnid invaders on their way towards Earth.
Aside from the new environment, players will also have access to the all-new alien arsenal that includes a weapon called Hellfire that fires 15 bouncing laser balls designed to inflict a lot of damage. In terms of transportation, Lost on Mars will feature a new exploration vehicle called Space Jets. Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars is scheduled to go live on July 17, 2018, and can either be purchased as stand-alone or as part of the Season Pass. To celebrate the DLC's upcoming release, Martian assets are now available for all players to exploit in Far Cry Arcade.
