Top EA executive Andrew Wilson and Blake Jorgensen during their latest financial conference call for investors and analysts shared some interesting information pertaining to the future plans of the company. One of which is EA's interest in applying the Free-to-Play mechanics in one of their older franchise. Aside from that, the company is also looking into the delivery of cross-platform play similar to that of Fortnite in one of their key franchises.
The notion of EA getting into the free-to-play platform is probably for the better as long as the company brings all their monetizing schemes and microtransactions to that platform. Maybe by then, players who pay for a complete game will actually get what they're paying for and get the full skill-based experience without shelling out more money.
