18-year-old Saudi Arabian player Mosaad ‘Msdossary’ Aldossary from Team Rogue was crowned as the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 Champion after achieving a 4-0 victory against Belgian player Stefano ‘StefanoPinna’ Pinna during the Grand Finals. His winnings include a whopping $250,000 USD, the first FIFA eWorld Cup Trophy, and a trip to The Best FIFA Football Awards next month in London. Msdossary's victory makes him the second Saudi Arabian FIFA specialist to win the world championship, with Abdulaziz Alshehri winning the event in 2015.
“This year was my first time competing at the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final. I hope to bring a few more trophies home to my country. I’m just 18-years-old, so there a few more years to come and I just want to make my country proud."
"I really want to show this trophy to my father and my mother. I want to spend time with them and with the trophy."
Recognized as the largest online Esports game by Guinness World Records, competing in the FIFA eWorld Cup formerly known as the FIFA Interactive World Cup requires a lot of skills rather than luck. This is due to the tournament's open qualifying format which allows millions FIFA specialists from all over the planet to participate. In fact, this year's event managed to reel in more than 20 million qualifiers from across the globe which was funneled down to 32 players to compete during the finals.
“I made a lot of bad decisions in my first few tournaments this year, but now I’m used to live competitions and I just play my usual game style which is the most important thing."
Msdossary's victory is definitely not a walk in the park. Emerging as the best among millions requires a lot of focus, experience, discipline, and humility. Not only that, his achievement also makes Saudi Arabia as one of the few countries to have two world championship titles under its belt in the history of FIFA eWorld Cup.
