Sony Unveils Another Very Limited Commemorative Version of The PlayStation Console

Sony recently unveiled another very limited edition of the PlayStation console to commemorate the sale of more than 500 million systems under the brand. Limited to just 50,000 units worldwide, the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro bundle is presented in a translucent blue console shell with a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller with its limited edition serial number etched on a commemorative copper plate at the front. It also comes with a 2TB hard drive, a PlayStation Camera, a vertical stand, and a mono headset (see images in the gallery below).

This, however, is not the rarest among the commemorative consoles officially released by Sony, in fact in 1997, 100 units of Marine Blue colored Sony PlayStation and a single gold console (serial number #10.000.000) were produced to celebrate the sale of more than 10 million units of the company's first console. The Marine Blue version is currently listed for $20,000 USD on eBay.

Then in 2004, Sony produced the Aqua Blue, Metallic Silver and Sakura Pink 50 Millionth Edition PlayStation 2 to commemorate another milestone (see images above).  The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro bundle is scheduled to launch on August 24, priced at $499.99 USD worldwide.
