A new trailer for Hideo Kojima's upcoming PS4 exclusive title Death Stranding was featured recently at Sony's TGS presentation. Featured in the video is a new character called "The Man in the Golden Mask" voiced by Troy Baker (Joel in The Last of Us, Samuel Drake in Uncharted 4) in English and by Satoshi Mikami (Ocelot in MGS V: The Phantom Pain) in Japanese. As impressive as it may look in terms of details and presentation, the new video, just like the previous ones, poses more questions than answers pertaining to the game's plot. Kojima however, has shared that the mentioned character is the president of the company Sam is working for,
Death Stranding has been one of the highly anticipated titles for the PlayStation 4 and is the first independent project by Hideo Kojima after leaving Konami. It has been almost 3 years since the first trailer for this "out of the box" project was revealed which according to Kojima was the beginning of the game of "unraveling" the mysteries of the game. He also added that that Death Stranding is about "creating connections at a different level" and is being developed not only for gamers, but for "fans of films, novels, comics, music, and art."
Despite the lack of details about the game's official release, Kojima assures the anticipating public that everything is moving along as planned. Though the game's launch date has said to have been allegedly leaked through Amazon last July which was eventually debunked, a Q1 2019 launch is still a huge probability given the progress the dev team is making.
