Great news for those who are waiting for a current-gen or perhaps a next-gen version of the acclaimed ARPG Parasite Eve, as Square Enix files an EUIPO trademark application
for the title at the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) last week November 22, 2018. This could mean that Square Enix could be planning to relaunch or remake the series, this, however, are just speculations based on current events.
Parasite Eve was launched in 1998 based on a novel written by Hideaki Sena. Due to its horror theme, the game was and became SquareSoft's first game to get an "M" or "Mature" rating. Its sequel Parasite Eve II was launched in 1998 followed by a spinoff called The 3rd Birthday in 2010 for the PlayStation portable. Check out the trailer for the third installment below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
