Ed Boon takes center stage at the 2018 Game Awards where the much-anticipated installment to the epic Mortal Kombat series was revealed. Playful as ever, the iconic creator announced Mortal Kombat 11
before the nominees for Best Racing Game was revealed to which he was also the presenter. Showcased in the cinematic announce trailer is a brutal battle between Raiden and Scorpion set in what looked like the ruins of Raiden's Temple.
Mortal Kombat 11 will have a new feature called "Custom Character Variations" that enables players to create and customize their own characters and will also come with a new graphics engine. The upcoming title will also feature new and returning Klassic Characters from the series. An official reveal of the game will take place on January 17, 2019. Mortal Kombat 11 will be available on April 23, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
