PUBG Peak Players Increased After the Launch of Update 24
After months of continuous decline in its overall peak player count, it seems that PUBG is slowly recovering its player base and Update #24 may have played a huge part on this. Released in December 7 Update #24 includes the 6x6 snow-themed map called Vikendi which according to the description is inspired by the best parts of the previous maps. One of which is the overall item Spawn rate which is now at the midpoint between Erangel Sahnok.

Based on the figures from Steam Charts, the game has been hemorrhaging players since February of this year and has hit the lowest player count last month since its launch. This dramatic decline of player count was due to the rampant cheating in the game which was not addressed immediately. It was also during this time that the company went after its biggest competition which is Fortnite by filing a lawsuit against Epic which was eventually dropped.

Moving forward, it is good to know that the company has finally decided to focus on what matters most, which is their player base. Who knows what other innovative ideas PUBG developers may have added into the game if the company only listened to their community. Update #24 also comes with a Survivor Pass which was launched at a very reasonable $9.99 and lasts for 10 weeks, just like Fortnite's Battle pass. Check out the trailers for the update and the pass below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
