in two separate presentations. Classic characters Kabal and D'Vorah were confirmed as playable characters in the game. Kabal was introduced through very own gameplay trailer while D'Vorah was announced through a tweet by NetherRealm after being spotted in the Inside Xbox presentation.

In Mortal Komabt Deception, however, Kabal went to show off his dark side after which returned as a reformed character in Mortal Kombat 2011. Kabal is known for his hookswords and superhuman speed. As a former Black Dragon Warrior, Kabal is a master in both the Chinese Art of Sun Bin and the Japanese art of Gōjū-ryū.
D'Vorah on the other hand, is a fairly new character introduced in Mortal Kombat X. This outworlder is a member of the insect-like species called Kytin. She also has the ability to summon large insects and bugs and use them to her advantage.
