Despite its late launch, Kingdom Hearts III
was able to sell enough copies to become the best-selling game in the US for the month of January. Making it the first game in the franchise to top the US charts since the launch of Kingdom Hearts II in 2006. This epic performance pushed the year's best-reviewed game for the PS4 and Xbox Resident Evil 2
down to the number 2 spot. Based on NPD sales breakdown by platform its clear that PlayStation 4 owners were the biggest contributors of its success (see screenshots below).

Other notable performance mentioned in the report includes Nintendo Switch which was the best-selling console for the month covered. Red Dead Redemption 2
