EA Still Investigating Anthem Crashing Issues, A Month After Beta
EA and BioWare's latest exo-suit-inspired shared-word online game Anthem is facing yet another issue that could probably lead to the game losing a huge chunk of its player base. In a recent tweet, EA urges the Anthem community, specifically PS4 owners "to share their crash data reports when prompted" and that they will be "reaching out to gather info." This issue, however, is not new to the game, in fact, it has been reported to EA during the game's VIP Demo a month ago.

I managed to actually step inside a javelin and play once, but several minutes in the application froze. I closed the application, and my PS4 Pro shut down entirely. I had to disconnect/reconnect the power cord just to get the system back up and the controller re-synced.- iirise via EA Answers HQ

In a thread started by username iiirise, he mentioned that the VIP Beta is causing his PS4 PRO to "shut down entirely" and that he "had to disconnect/reconnect the power cord just to get the system back up and the controller re-synced." The thread was supported by other players who experienced the same issue, however, it seems that it's only now that EA is addressing the said issue.

As of the moment, EA is still trying to figure out the "root cause" of the issue, something that they could have done during the title's Beta days. Nevertheless, it's still good to know that the publisher finally took notice of this recurring issue. Anthem is currently on its second week on top of the UK video game sales chart, to which a swift fix would be better if they want to go for a third-week streak. Stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
