Six competitive titles will be premiering as a Medal Event in the upcoming 2019 SEA Games on November 30-December 11 in the Philippines. Five of the six titles were already revealed and one of which is Bandai Namco's
Tekken 7. This is the first time where the skill-based fighting game was featured in a multi-sport event, not to mention as a medal event. This means that any of the countries who hold a professional Tekken 7 player will automatically get representation. One example is
EVO Japan 2nd place winner AK (Alexandre Laverez) who resides in the Philippines and TWT 2018 Online Asia Pacific Southeast champion Book (Nopparut Hempamorn) who Resides in Thailand.

Other titles in the eSports category include Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Dota 2, Starcraft 2, and Arena of Valor, with the sixth title yet to be revealed. Of the listed titles,
Arena of Valor and Starcraft 2 has been part of the demonstration events during last year's Asian Games in Indonesia and would probably become a medal event in the 2022 Asian Games in China. Stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
