Online battle royale multiplayer PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
was reported to have earned 818 million euros or 919 million dollars in 2018. That's 80 million shies to a billion dollars in revenue. 83% of the game's revenue came from PC players (53% of which came from the Asian market), 6.6% from consoles, and 8.8% from mobile according to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad through El Chapuzas.
There is no doubt that 2018 has been a rough year for the game that made Battle Royale a household name in video games. Aside from the rampant cheating in the game, PUBG Corp also took Epic games to court.
This led to a massive decline in the game's number of players. It wasn't until December 2018 after the launch of "update 24"
that the game saw an increase in player count. PUBG still remains part of Steam's top 10 bestseller list and was part of Steam's 2018's platinum list of global top sellers. Check out the latest trailer for the game below and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
