A new trailer highlighting the new Necromancer class in the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr was recently shared by Bethesda Softworks. For starters, Necromancers practice Necromancy which is the art of "creative manipulation of the soul, or animus" as per the game's Loremaster Leamon Tuttle. He also added that this class will have the ability to "cast spells, bind souls into service, and use lesser Daedric spirits to reanimate corpses." Another important point to consider when choosing this class is that this is considered as an outlaw class, in other words, this practice is forbidden in Tamriel.
"In The Elder Scrolls Online, the practice of necromancy allows you to master frightful new powers, but, given its reputation, it also brings new challenges, too."
Kyle Nowak, combat designer for the Necromancer class explains that some"obvious" Necromantic actions (i.e. raising the dead) in front of NPCs might have some repercussions when unleashed in the presence of NPCs. Necromancy is a powerful and destructive art, however, mastering this class requires humility and subtlety. The phrase "with great power comes great responsibility" is perfect for this class. After all, Raising the dead is not the best way to show off your abilities in Tamriel. The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr is scheduiled to go live on June 4, 2019 for the PS4 and Xbox One with an Early Access for PC/Mac on May 20.
