Aside from the impressive record-high profit figures showcased in Capcom's financial report for Q4 FY2018-2019, the company also shared some of their plans in the field of
eSports. The company has recently undergone a massive restructuring of its Esports and Media Licensing Businesses through the creation of Capcom Media Ventures revealed last week. In support of this massive overhaul, the company will be re-doubling its commitment to making Esports a priority, as per the financial report.
"in response to the worldwide excitement surrounding esports and the increased attention paid to them within the Japanese market, Capcom is redoubling its commitment to making this sector a priority area, and aims to grow the player base worldwide through running leagues that utilize Street Fighter."
Other highlights in the report include the overwhelming worldwide success of
Resident Evil 2 and
Devil May Cry 5. Both titles add up to the impressive and continuously growing sales of
