Tekken 7's Success Clouds the Future of Tekken x Street Fighter

Tekken 7
Fighting Game fans who are waiting for the launch of Tekken x Street Fighter may not see the game making its debut soon during the current generation of video games. Part of the reason comes from the success of Tekken 7's post-launch contents which is now on its second season. Harada, however, remains "emotionally up" to finish and launch the spin-off which was announced almost nine years ago at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con. Tekken x Street Fighter's development remains at 30% and is still on hold at the moment.

The Next Generation Perhaps?
As we approach the dawn of the next generation of consoles, hope still remains on the horizon for the spin-off. Tekken x Street Fighter's decade long delay may be overrated, however, Harada's decision to not compete with the existing game makes a lot of sense. The truth of the matter is that the game may be "fated" for the next generation of consoles. Wonkey from Avoiding the Puddle also believes that planning for a next-gen release is the "best course of action for the game," which is something that the FGC will definitely agree on.
