An Idea Inside the Box, Hideo Shows Appreciation to Guerrilla
One of the biggest news last week involves the unveiling of the official launch date of the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive game Death Stranding. Unlike other launch date reveal for other games, Kojima Productions shared 9-minute mash-up footage taken from the game which looks astoundingly amazing. With that said, Hideo Kojima who's the master architect of this brilliant project has once again shown his deep and humble appreciation to the engine that turned his intricate ideas into reality.

Contained within the box in the cover is the Decima Engine which is considered as the heart and soul of Guerrilla Games. Decima Engine has been the core element that powered the highly acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn. It has been the main force that made Guerrilla's transition from FPS to the open world genre an overwhelming success. In reality, no studio would just hand over the most important asset to a newly established studio, unless the studio was built by one of the most iconic and passionate innovators in video games.

It's amazing what a pair of passionate and innovative studios, a box, and an idea can do. This unique "strand" as Hideo would call it, is a reminder what two passionate studios can accomplish and it pretty much proves that single player games are still very much alive. Stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.
